The cornerstone of Bagby Elevator Company's philosophy is an uncompromising commitment to service excellence. As the largest independent elevator company in the South, we have built a tradition spanning over eight decades on this premise. Our success can be attributed to simply practicing our philosophy:   Treating each customer as our only customer.

Bagby Elevator Company was founded in 1920 by Arthur Bagby, Sr. who was one of the first to use hydraulic fluid instead of water in hydraulic elevators Now this has become the industry standard. Originally installing hydraulic elevators in Birmingham, Alabama after World War I, Bagby Elevator has evolved into a multiservice provider in elevator systems throughout Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida.

Bagby provides maintenance, service, repair, modernixation, and installation of elevator systems for virtually any commercial, industrial, and residential use. We currently have over 3,500 elevator maintenance contracts throughout the South, including the prestigious $75-million Am South Harbert Plaza in Birmingham, one of the tallest office buildings in Alabama, and the 32-story First National BAnk Building in Mobile, which for years has been touted as the state's tallest building. Today, under the third-generation leadership of Arthur Bagby III, Bagby Elevator Company, Inc. continues to be an industry pacesetter, and is recognized by our customers as the personable, flexible, and customer- oriented elevator company.
